Built by the Superior Corporation of Lima, Ohio, this ambulance served as the primary transport and secondary rescue ambulance for Professional Ambulance Service of Glendale, CA. It is an original condition ambulance with less than 76,000 original miles.
It features the original 425 cubic inch V-8 engine and GM Turbo Hydramatic transmission.
Also featured is the period-correct external emergency lighting package that was used in 1977 (Twin Federal Model 184 rotating lights, Unity flashers, dual spotlights, Twin Federal Model CP 100 siren horns driven by a Federal “Interceptor” control box. This was 1 of only 11 ambulances built that year).
The interior is complete with the time-period correct Motorola 2-way radio, Ferno Model 30 gurney, portable E&J resuscitator, Remington medical box, backboard, manual suction equipment, oxygen tanks, attendant seat and completely stocked medical cabinet.
